Since our grand opening people have been asking for growler fills and every time we crush their dreams. Our reply is always "No, sorry. We are small batch". Most people get it, but a small minority get visibly frustrated. When the latter happens we quickly pull them to the production area and show them the size of our tanks. This is usually followed by "oh wow, you are small batch", or a giggle at our pathetically small fermentors.
At the time of writing this, we have 4x 2 barrel tanks. That's not a lot and unlike beer, we can't just make cider when we have time. We have to go get the juice and scheduling a pickup can be challenging. If the stars align then it takes one month to make our cider from start to finish.
Taking that into account, we can really only do tasting room sales ATM. If we did take out as well, we run the very likely scenario where we only have two or three taps running. Who wants to go into a tasting room and only have 3 options? No flight for you! That's bullshit at best and it's not the kind of experience we want you to have. We can't wait to buy a Crowler machine and start offering our craft in take out format. That's going to be freaking amazing. So in the meantime bare with us. We're not there yet, but we will be!
