2025: A Year of Recognition
This year has already marked a major milestone for us, with multiple national and international competitions recognizing the work happening in our cellar. Across some of the most respected stages in the industry, our meads earned medals that reflect both innovation and precision. From fruit-forward expressions to bold experimental builds, the results speak for themselves.
At the Mead Crafters Competition, hosted by the National Honey Board, we brought home one Silver and two Bronze medals. Abyss earned Silver in the Fruit Melomel Sweet category, while Ampelo’s Moon took Bronze in Pyment, and Ayamarcay secured Bronze in Specialty. These awards came from blind judging, where balance, structure, and execution are the only things that matter.
The momentum continued at the Mazer Cup, one of the most competitive mead competitions in the world. Ayamarcay claimed Gold in the Experimental category, reinforcing its depth, balance, and bold character. Standing out in a global field at this level is no small feat.
At the Valkyries Horn Competition, we earned two more Gold medals: Empress in Fruit and Spice, and Ayamarcay again in Spice/Herb/Vegetable. Earning multiple golds across different competitions shows consistency, not luck. It confirms that these releases resonate beyond our tasting room.
Rounding out the year, Pinedemic captured Bronze in the Specialty category at the 27th Great International Beer, Cider, Mead & Sake Competition, placing us on yet another international stage. Each medal represents intention, risk, refinement, and relentless attention to detail. We’re proud of the recognition—but even more proud of the work behind it. And we’re far from finished.
